Terms of use
Updated 23 October 2026
These terms say what Novila is, what you can expect of it and what it is not. You don't have to accept anything to use the app, and nothing here limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.
What Novila is
Novila is a free app for training, sleep and food that gives general advice for everyday health. It plans and explains with fixed rules on your phone, from what you log and what you let it read from Health Connect. It has no account, no subscription and no ads.
Not care
Novila is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any illness. Its advice does not replace a doctor, a physiotherapist or other care. Talk to one before you start training if you have an illness, an injury, are pregnant or are unsure, and stop and seek care if something hurts more than the app's pain limit or doesn't feel right. The gentle training is general exercise, not a plan from a physiotherapist. Read the health disclaimer under Settings too.
Using the app
Novila is made for adults. You use the advice with your own judgment and at your own pace, and you are responsible for what you enter and for the copies of your data you save. Don't try to break the app, copy it or use it to harm others.
Your data
What you log stays on your phone and is yours. How Novila handles it is in the privacy policy under Settings.
As it is
Novila is developed with care and tested, but it is free and given as it is: it may have errors, change or stop being available, and it can't know everything about your body. As far as Swedish law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect damage, such as lost data, that comes from using the app. Save a copy of your data now and then. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Rights
The app, its texts, illustrations and exercises belong to the developer. Novila also uses open-source software under its own licenses, listed under Settings, Open source licenses.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version comes with an app update, with its date below. The terms that apply are the ones in the version you use.
Law and questions
Swedish law applies. Questions go to the developer's contact address on Novila's page in Google Play. As a consumer you can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
